reflection5
A fifth day of brain- wracking training... yup! The topic on authentic assessment , which is discussed by Dr. Balagtas, is really a helpful tool for us teachers that we should consider especially in rating student's output. Although it's a challenge on the part of the teacher, still, we need to make use of it so that we can come out with a real, true- to- life assessment of student's works. Upon listening to Dr. Balagtas' discussion, I really found it challenging to make a rubric for you'll consider all the factors that should be rated with regards to students output. Eventually, as discussion goes by, I'm able to learn on hot to make use of rubric, portfolio assessment and project- based authentic assessment. I also learned a lot when we are tasked to create our own rubric and it's really enriching on our part. With these new learnings, I'm very glad that I can apply these to my teaching profession.
